I am currently developing a single-player third-person extraction-survival game built in Unity with C#. Drawing heavy inspiration from Escape from Tarkov, Dark and Darker, and Vampire Survivors, the game features intense close-quarters combat, high-stakes looting, a deep inventory and equipment system, quest-driven objectives, and a robust save/load architecture.

Key systems implemented so far:

Fluid third-person character controller and combat mechanics
Comprehensive inventory, equipment, and loot systems
Persistent save/load functionality
Modular quest and objective framework

Leveraging my background in both the game industry and enterprise/vendor software development (commercial & government projects), I intentionally architected the project with maximum reusability and maintainability in mind. The codebase is heavily modularized into independent, reusable systems that can be dropped into future titles with minimal changes.

To achieve clean, scalable, and flexible code, I extensively applied proven design patterns including:

Singleton (for global managers)
Observer / Event System
MVC architecture
Finite State Machines (for AI, player states, and gameplay flow)
Factory, Command, and Pooling patterns where appropriate

Development progress is deliberate and iterative: after completing each major system, I consistently revisit and refactor it—improving architecture, performance, readability, and extensibility—before moving forward. While this perfectionist approach extends the timeline, it ensures the foundation is exceptionally solid, reusable, and production-ready.

The game is being built from the ground up with Steam deployment and commercial release as the ultimate goal.

This project represents the culmination of my professional gameplay programming experience and enterprise-grade software engineering practices, resulting in a highly structured, maintainable, and ambitious solo title.
